My wife and I are not first time house buyers, but were unfamiliar with the areas on the Peninsula. We were highly recommended to Stephanie from a co-worker and we set up an appointment to meet with her. From our first appointment, Stephanie was well prepared with a listing of recently sold houses and new houses on the market for us to review. I am the trustee for a family living trust. The primary asset in the trust was the family home located in Burlingame. This home had been purchased in 1958. Recently the home became unoccupied which triggered a trust requirement to sell the house. Structurally the house was in sound condition but it had not been properly maintained for many years and appeared old and outdated.

Preparing the house for sale required removing all carpets and personal property; significant cleanup, deferred maintenance, paint inside and outside, refinishing wood floors, and installing new light fixtures. Also required replacement of ceilings in two rooms; restoration and updating of the kitchen and bathrooms and several other rooms.

I live in the East Bay so, in addition to a listing agent, I was also looking for agent who was also willing to assist in preparing the house for the sale. I interviewed several realtors, and selected Stephanie. She came highly recommended by friends who had two homes sold by Stephanie.

I feel we had a good home and Stephanie helped us optimize all its potential. She was a valuable resource for updating our home. She was both dynamic and motivated in her marketing skills. She displayed excellent people skills with all of the contractors, other agents, perspective buyers and our family.

While work was underway, she generated buyer interest in the house and consulted with other real estate professionals. As the update neared completion, she implemented a very successful marketing plan. The results of her efforts speak for themselves. We had a house that drew the interest of many agents and potential buyers, a marketing effort that built on that interest, highly successful open house and careful follow up on prospective buyers. Within one week of listing, the house had four competitive offers above asking price. We accepted the best offer and the house closed without complications within 30 days.
